Subaru Car Keys & Fobs
Keep the Subaru key separate from the adventure kit.
A lost access fob after a day out is different from a worn ignition key at home. Lotus offers Subaru replacement keys, spares and supported fob programming with the exact vehicle checked first.

KEY / REMOTE / START
Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Impreza, Legacy, Ascent and BRZ owners should provide the year and ignition style. Do not assume a BRZ and an Outback share a key because both are Subaru vehicles.
Access fob or turn-key ignition?
Subaru owner resources distinguish conventional keys from keyless-access equipment. Tell us whether the engine is started with a blade or a button and whether any working key remains. That is more useful than describing only the color or shape of the remote.
Keep water damage distinct from a missing key
If the Subaru fob was soaked or dropped, preserve it for inspection and tell us what happened. Do not repeatedly test a damaged electronic remote while assuming the vehicle has forgotten it. We discuss whether inspection, replacement or another diagnostic path is appropriate.
How your Subaru key visit works
From the first call to checking the finished Subaru key, the work is agreed before it proceeds.
- Identify the Subaru, the starting method and whether the key is lost, damaged or intermittently detected.
- Confirm the vehicle’s location and the condition of any spare or key-number information.
- Review supported cutting/programming and authorize the work after the inspection and price discussion.
- Test access and starting, then store the spare away from the gear used on trips.

Subaru key questions
Is Subaru PIN Code Access the same as a replacement key?
No. If equipped and previously configured, it is a separate owner feature. Consult your exact manual; we do not assume it is available or replaces a starting key.
Does the vehicle need to be present?
Programming or checking a starting key generally requires access to the vehicle. Confirm the requirements for your Subaru when booking.
Subaru owner reference
Subaru owner’s information and vehicle manuals ↗
Use the exact model-year manual for original controls and warnings. Manufacturer resources are independent references; Lotus is not a dealership or manufacturer-authorized service center.
Plan the right next step
What affects a locksmith quote? Key type, remaining working keys and the work required should be clarified before you approve the visit.
If the key is locked inside, describe that before ordering a replacement.
